Camp Scholler Guide — EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026

Here's the first thing folks miss: buying a basic Camp Scholler site ahead of time locks in your arrival date and speeds up credentials — it does not save you a physical spot. Basic camping is first-paid, first-served, and you pick your site after check-in, from whatever's open when you roll in.

The only sites that are actually assigned are the water and electric ones. Those sell out early, they're assigned online, and unused days are non-refundable.

KOSH tip: if you want a good basic site, arrive early in the day and be ready to walk the loops before you commit. Late arrivals get what's left.

For EAA members in 2026:

• Basic (unimproved) sites: $42 per day, 3-night minimum
• Water & electric sites: $103 per day, assigned, no refunds on unused days
• Aircraft camping: $42 per day, first-come first-served

At least one person on every campsite must be an EAA member. Individual membership is $48/year, family starts at $60/year — worth the math if the trip is built around a household.

For basic sites, if you leave early you can request a refund on unused days at checkout, in person at Camper Registration — less the 3-day minimum. Water and electric sites don't refund unused days.

The official pages have slightly different wording on charging periods, so if you're planning a short stay, confirm the exact amount at Camper Registration when you check in.

A campsite has to fit your unit and one transient vehicle, keep a 5-foot perimeter around neighbors, and stay behind the fire lanes. One travel trailer, truck camper, or RV per site. One motor vehicle or two motorcycles per site. Camping units at least 10 feet apart.

This is the #1 reason security asks people to resize a setup. Plan for it before you unfold everything.

EAA opens shower houses and portable-toilet banks as sections fill, not on a fixed calendar. That means a great-looking site on the far edge might have the nearest shower still closed on Monday.

KOSH tip: if you want short walks to water, showers, and groceries, bias toward the market clusters and the shuttle spine. If you want quiet evenings, move away from the main-gate side and Theater in the Woods.

Pets are welcome in Camp Scholler — up to three per site, leash under 8 feet, out of shower/toilet buildings, and never left unattended if they're disruptive.

On the convention grounds, only ADA-defined service animals are allowed. Emotional support animals do not qualify for grounds access under EAA's policy, though they're fine in the campground. Pets are not allowed in aircraft camping areas at all.
